Maharashtra government plans new bulk drug park in Raigad

Maharashtra government is planning to set up a bulk drug park in Raigad district of the state. It plans to acquire 5000 acres of land for the project in 17 villages in Roha and Murud taluka of Raigad. The state government has invited applications and notified a marking system based on availability of water, power, land and technical manpower, ranking in ease of doing business, and incentive policy. A total of 1,000 acre for the project is in government possession.

An amount of Rs 2,500 crore will be required for basic infrastructure, and the investment is expected to be Rs 30,000 crore.
