Maharashtra government is set to boost supply of cotton to support textile units in the state. It has declared 115 taluks in Marathwada, North Maharashtra and Vidarbha regions as cotton growing area. The move will help the government to collect data on cotton production, supply and processing as well as provide assistance to textile mill who need cotton.
Any issues related to crops growth and teething trouble will be sorted locally. It will also help to develop a textile unit depends on crop movement.
