Maharashtra State Power Generation Co (MAHAGENCO) is planning to set up a 10 MW grid connected floating solar power plant in Upper Vaitarna reservoir in Nashik district in Maharashtra. The company has invited an expression of interest (EoI) bids to develop the project. The successful bidder will sign a power purchase agreement with the power utility for a period of 25 years. The scope of work will include the design, engineering, manufacture, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of the solar PV project on the water surface.
The project also involves construction of complete evacuation line from the switchyard of solar PV project to the nearest substation.
