Aurangabad Municipal Corporation is setting up a biomethanation plant at Kanchanwadi near the city in Maharashtra. The corporation has awarded the EPC contract to Banco Constructions Pvt Ltd. After a detailed project report on solid waste management (SWM) a 30 tpd biomethanation plant is being set up. The excavation work is likely to begin by first week of April 2019. As of March 2019, the project is likely to be completed by June 2019.
